MISSION
The mission of Partners for Transformative Media is to motivate people to vote for legislatures that will support the policies that will control Climate Change. Our multi-faceted initiative includes the production of Public Service Announcements that identify the threat of climate change and educates the populous on what they can do to preserve our environment. This project came about due to my frustration with the climate deniers around me. No matter what fact I marshaled, some can not be convinced that Climate Change is real, much less man-made. The focus must be on motivating the ones that will listen and prompt them to take action.
Climate Change is real. In my lifetime, I have seen the weather become hotter and more violent. On a recent trip to Iceland, I saw firsthand what our changing climate has done to the glaciers of that country. From my studies, I believe we are close to the tipping point, and if we do not take decisive action now and for the next ten years, it will be too late.
In sharing my concern with my friends, I found that many shared my fears and were willing to ply their craft at a reduced rate to gain the public support needed to make meaningful changes to the way we deal with Climate Change.
I am not an organizer by nature. For the past 40 years, I have made a living turning out quality programming that has entertained, educated, and motivated people to buy things, all of which I did to make a living, but the creation of Partners for Transformative Media was created for my grandchildren. They, like every child, deserve a stable future as they reach for the stars.
